L'ETH-IMC2402-OEO, convertitore industriale 10G OEO della serie, è un collegamento tra apparecchiature fibra-fibra a 10 Gbps che funge da convertitore di media in fibra o da ripetitore in fibra per la trasmissione a lunga distanza in ambienti difficili, con una temperatura di esercizio compresa tra -40 e 80 °C.
È destinato all'applicazione di dorsali di rete (SAN, LAN, MAN). Supporta SDH/SONET STM-64/OC-192, 10G Fiber Channel, 10G Ethernet, e può essere applicato in laboratori di ricerca e sviluppo, data center e sale telecomunicazioni. Supporta la conversione della lunghezza d'onda ottica 1310nm/1550nm/CWDM/DWDM con Loop-back.
Quando si collegano solo la porta in rame e quella in fibra, può essere un collegamento tra apparecchiature Ethernet in rame e fibra a 1 Gbps che funge da convertitore di media fibra-rame per la trasmissione a lunga distanza fino a 120 km.
