Overview

E-link's IMPU series Metered Switched PDU—an advanced Intelligent Precision Power Distribution
Unit—integrates automatic transfer switching, making it the ideal solution for critical network installations
that demand remote power control and power supply redundancy for equipment operating on 85-265V
AC. As an Intelligent Precision Power Distribution Unit, it goes beyond basic power distribution, combining
precise monitoring, proactive alerting, and automated control to ensure reliable operation of mission-
critical devices in data centers, network operation centers (NOCs), and industrial control environments.
This Intelligent Precision Power Distribution Unit empowers users to closely monitor conditions at their
data center: it tracks key power parameters (such as voltage, current, power consumption, and load status)
in real time, eliminating blind spots in power management. More importantly, it can automatically send alerts
(via email, SMS, or SNMP traps) before power anomalies escalate into critical issues—such as overvoltage,
undervoltage, or overload—allowing IT and facility teams to take preemptive action and avoid unplanned
downtime.
Functionally, the Intelligent Precision Power Distribution Unit offers a range of automated and remote
control capabilities to enhance operational efficiency: it enables automatic rebooting of outlets when
connected devices (e.g., servers, network switches, or storage units) become unresponsive, reducing
the need for on-site troubleshooting; it allows users to remotely disable unused outlets to cut unnecessary
current consumption, lowering energy costs; and it can switch on cooling devices (such as rack fans)
automatically when rack temperatures rise, maintaining optimal operating conditions for heat-sensitive
equipment.
To further strengthen power management precision, this unit includes a comprehensive
suite of monitoring features: customizable event alarms (triggered by pre-set thresholds),
outlet-specific power metering (for granular energy tracking of individual devices), SNMP
polling (for seamless integration with network management systems), and additional alarm
functions (such as power failure or surge alerts). These features enable users to keep continuous
tabs on vital network elements, minimize costly on-site service calls, and maximize equipment
uptime—critical for businesses where even short downtime can lead to significant losses.
With its intelligent automation, precision monitoring, and redundancy support, the IMPU
series stands out as a reliable Intelligent Precision Power Distribution Unit for modern 
critical infrastructure.
